Locals do well in Cd'A triathlon

COEUR d'ALENE — Nolan Weinstein of Spokane won the Olympic distance race — 1.5K swim, 40K bike and 10K run — in the Coeur d'Alene Triathlon on Saturday in two hours, 2 minutes and 56 seconds.
Scott Voyles of Post Falls was third overall and the top local male finisher in 2:11:31, while Kip Taylor of Coeur d'Alene was ninth overall and second local finisher in 2:18:59.
Carley Gross of Spokane won the women's division in 2:26:12. Nicolle Baune of Dalton was third overall and the top local female finisher in 2:35:49. Krista Lapan of Coeur d'Alene was sixth overall and the second local finisher in 2:40:51.

In the sprint distance, a .5K swim, 20K bike and 5K run, Luke Greensides of Post Falls was the winner in 1:15:02, followed by Mitchell Rietze of Coeur d'Alene in 1:16:49.
Jamie St. Louis of Thousand Oaks, Calif., was the first female in 1:21:19. Bri Lange of Coeur d'Alene was the top local finisher and sixth overall in 1:32:08.

In the duathlon, a 5K run, 40K bike and 10K run, Troy Braga of Coeur d'Alene was first in 2:18:46. He was followed by Jason Litterell of Hayden in 2:44:47 and Austin Staudinger, Rathdrum, 2:56:03.
Kristen Burkamp of Sagle was the top female finisher in 3:05:20, while Hayley Gabriel of Coeur d'Alene was next in 3:20:38.
