NIC VOLLEYBALL: Cardinals take two to open season

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Taylin Rowley, a sophomore from Coeur d’Alene High, had nine kills and seven digs for North Idaho College in a 25-15, 25-12, 25-19 win over South Puget Sound in the Bellevue crossover tournament at Bellevue Community College.
Freshman Jessica Stires had eight kills, freshman Rylee Hartwig six kills and four digs, sophomore Abigail Neff 29 assists and 17 digs and freshman Mia Tunison 22 digs for NIC against South Puget Sound.
Later, Rachel Stacey and Rowley had 11 kills for the Cardinals in a 25-27, 25-19, 25-19, 25-17 win over Bellevue. Neff had 39 assists and 11 digs, Tunnison 20 digs and Rylee Hartig 10 kills for NIC (2-0).
NIC visits Edmonds College today at 1 p.m., then will face Olympic at 4 in Edmonds.
