There are monster games and there are monster games. Almost always, but not always, the team with a monster game comes out on top.
Such was the case this past Thursday when Noxon’s Emily Brown put together some eye-popping stats along with several of her teammates as the Red Devils took three out of four sets from visiting Victor in the season opener for both teams.
Brown’s stats included: four aces, 14 kills, 21 assists, three blocks and seven digs to help coach Dana Grupenhoff and the Lady Red Devils off to a good start.
Noxon won the opening set, 25-19, then took set number two by a narrow 26-24 margin. Victor came back from the brink of defeat to take the third set 25-16 and hold off the Noxon sweep attempt.
The Lady Red Devils then squeaked out a 26-24 win of their own in set number four to secure the win.
Several other Noxon players also had outstanding efforts in the win.
