Bulldogs win with four girls hitting double digit baskets

The Bulldogs girls basketball team has found its flow. Four players hit double-digit scoring in a 70-27 blowout win at West Valley Friday night.
“We haven’t had this many kids with double-digit scoring for a while,” coach Will Love said.
The team got a jump on the Eagles from the start, scoring 22 points in the first quarter. Kelsey Cessna and Aliya Strock paced the Bulldogs in scoring in the first half.
“We pushed a full-court press and maintained a great pace of play,” Love said.
Daylee Driggs, added to the Bulldogs impressive run in the third quarter. She did an excellent job at containing West Valley’s leading scorer, Chloe DeHaro, coach Love noted.
“Our girls came out and did a good job pressuring,” Love said.
Overall, the Bulldogs are looking strong with balanced scoring from Kelsey Cessna, Daylee Driggs, Strock, Karlie Banks. All four girls are averaging 13 points per game.
Sandpoint will play again this afternoon at home against East Valley High School at 1:30 p.m.
