Susan (Joki) Johnson, 65

Susan Joyce Joki Johnson passed away Dec. 2, 2022, at home from an extended illness.

Susan was born March 29, 1957, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to Ed and Helene (Roth) Joki. She grew up in Dalton Gardens where she attended school. She graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1975. She then attended North Idaho College.

Susan loved children, so she opened an in-home child care, caring for young children. She also worked for ShopKo in Coeur d’Alene for several years, ultimately becoming a manager.

Susan married Richard Johnson in May 2005 in Post Falls, Idaho. They then moved to Arkansas before settling in Central Washington. She was living at her home in Kittitas, Wash., at the time of her death with her husband at her side.

Susan loved animals, and rescued many during her life. She also loved angels and was a lifelong collector of porcelain statues. Susan also loved music and traveled to numerous Bon Jovi concerts.

Susan could be reserved, but loved attending family gatherings, and always brought something special that she had baked. She loved God and attended the New Life Church in Kittitas.

Susan is survived by her husband at home, brother Ed (Denise) Joki, sisters Shirley (Dan) Freligh, and Sharon (Mike) Pritchett. Also surviving her are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, three brothers and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
