COEUR d'ALENE RECREATION
Kindergarten, first and second grade boys and girls basketball: The Coeur d’Alene Recreation Department will register Dec. 12-Jan. 4 for the Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade boys and girls basketball leagues.
The program is set to begin approximately the third week in January and run through mid-March.
Cost is $35 for city residents and $40 for non-city residents. Registration is at the Coeur d’Alene City Hall, Recreation Department, 710 Mullan Ave. or online at teamsideline.com/cdaid.
Scholarships are available at the Cd'A Recreation Department office.
Boys and girls will play in separate leagues. Kids are placed on teams by school. No requests are taken. Games and practices are scheduled Monday-Thursday evenings and Saturdays. Practices will begin end of January and last about two weeks, with games to follow. 8-foot baskets and a junior-sized basketball are used.
Volunteer coaches are needed.
Team sponsorship is $155; the deadline to sponsor is Jan. 4.
