Jacob Lee Sherman Owens, 33, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, in a vehicle accident in Sagle, Idaho. Private family services have been held.

Jacob was born March 10, 1989, in Spokane, Wash., to David and Danene Owens. He grew up in Spokane and graduated from University High School in 2007. Jacob served his country in the United States Navy.

Jacob married Colleen Roberts on Dec. 23, 2007, in Coeur d’Alene. He received his lineman license and did sheet metal work and construction in Spokane.

Jacob helped his grandfather, Jack Owens, start the Big Back In lawn mower races in Spirit Lake, Idaho. The love of his life was his children and family. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, swimming, playing video games, and collecting old tools, Coca-Cola antiques and Mario Bros.

He is survived by his wife Colleen Owens of Spokane; three children Kaylee, Brody, and Zayden Owens; mother Danene Thornton of Big Fork, Mont.; father David (Ronnie) Owens of Spirit Lake, Idaho; grandmother Lynn Weed of Big Fork, Mont.; and three sisters Jessica Blodgett of Big Fork, Skyler Owens of Spokane and Brittney Watkins of Missoula.
