SPOKANE — For 28 minutes, it was back and forth between Post Falls and University on Saturday evening.

That first four minutes, that will be what the Trojans will be looking at fixing moving forward.

Tyler Nelson scored 19 points for the Titans, who led 12-0 four minutes into the game, en route to a 74-60 win over the Trojans.

“They just jumped on us in the first four minutes,” Post Falls coach Mike McLean said. “We weren’t dialed in and didn’t match their intensity early on. Once we righted the ship, we played back and forth. But that first four minutes, they set the tone and we just couldn’t overcome it.”

Trenton McLean hit three 3-pointers to finish with 13 points and Tyras Blake added 12 points for Post Falls (0-5).

Ethan Cox scored 15 points for University (2-0).

Post Falls faces Curtis (Wash.) in the opening game of the Curtis Winter Classic on Thursday.
