Ziply Fiber announces purchase of iFiber

EPHRATA — Local internet provider iFiber has been sold to Kirkland-based Ziply Fiber. The sale was announced Dec. 12 via a Ziply Fiber press release.
“Today’s agreement with IFiber not only expedites our ability to bring fiber internet to more customers but also supports our belief in building effective public-private partnerships,” wrote Ziply Fiber Chief Executive Officer Harold Zeitz.
The sale price was not announced.
iFiber, based in Ephrata, offers internet and phone services to residential customers in partnership with Grant, Chelan, Douglas, Franklin, Mason, Kitsap and Pend Oreille counties, according to the press release.
Eric Hale, chairman of iFiber Communications, wrote in the press release that the new owners are committed to customer service.
“We continue to be impressed with Ziply Fiber’s devotion to Northwest families, and believe that commitment will serve our nearly 18,000 iFiber customers well,” Hale wrote.
