The Flathead County Planning Board on Wednesday is set to consider two proposals for small residential developments.
Whitefish Ski Condo Rentals is seeking a preliminary plat to create 10 residential lots at 2100 Whalebone Drive west of Kalispell. In a separate request, Fisher Properties is seeking a preliminary plat to create 16 condominium units at 10343 U.S. 2 East in Coram.
The county planning board meets at 6 p.m. on the second floor conference room of the South Campus Building at 40 11th St. W. in Kalispell.
For the plat on Whalebone Drive, the developer is looking to create lots with an average size of 2.43 acres. Access to each lot would be from new internal subdivision roads. The subdivision would use the common area open space designated in the adjacent Whalebone Estates subdivision.
Regarding the request by Fisher Properties, the developer is looking to create a subdivision on 2.55 acres that would be accessed by U.S. 2 and Coram Stage. The subdivision would contain just under a half acre of common area and open space.
ALSO ON the agenda, CTL Real Estate Holdings is seeking a zone change request for property within the Evergreen Zoning District. The proposal would change the zoning on a parcel of land located along Spring Creek Drive near Kalispell from R-2 one family limited residential to R-1 suburban residential. The total acreage is just over an acre.
The property is home to a single-family dwelling and a concrete foundation for a detached accessory structure that is under construction. The owners of the property would like to continue construction on a detached structure, but current zoning bars such a project in the front yard.
The board will look at a zone change request from Thomas and Sally Cheff for a parcel of land located at 2562 Trumble Creek Road near Kalispell. The zone change would be from AG-80 agricultural to SAG-10 suburban agricultural.
The total acreage involved is 32 acres. The property is undeveloped with an area of wetland.
The application indicates the reason for the change is for a potential family land transfer in the future.
