U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Georgia, will be the keynote speaker at the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee's Lincoln Day Dinner in February.

Alex Stein, described as a right wing comedian and columnist, will be a special guest.

Greene said Saturday that the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol “would’ve been armed” if she and former Trump adviser Steve Bannon had planned it, according to a report in The Hill.

On Monday, she was criticized for those comments.

White House spokesperson Andrew Bates said Greene’s comments were a “slap in the face” to law enforcement and the families of those who died as a result from the Capitol attack.

The Lincoln Day Dinner generally attracts about 600 people.

The dinner is scheduled Feb. 11 at The Coeur d’Alene Resort. Tickets are $175 each.
