ALL-IDAHO FOOTBALL: Lake City's Johnson named first team in 5A

Lake City senior linebacker Zach Johnson was named to the 5A first team as the All-Idaho football teams in all six classifications were announced Thursday by The Idaho Statesman newspaper of Boise.

Johnson, who has verbally committed to Idaho, averaged 10 tackles per game with Lake City, including a school-record 23 in one game.

Named to the 5A second team were Post Falls senior running back Jake Bustamante, Post Falls senior defensive lineman (and Idaho commit) Trevor Miller, and Coeur d’Alene senior defensive back Junus McGraw.

4A: Lakeland junior kicker Owen Forsman was named to the All-Idaho first team, and Lakeland senior offensive lineman Preston Jeffs was named to the second team.

Three Sandpoint Bulldog seniors — offensive linemen Carson Laybourne and Wylan Dorrel, and linebacker Wes Benefield — were named to the first team, and Sandpoint senior punter Jacob Gove made the second team.

3A: Two Timberlake seniors — offensive lineman Joel Possinger and punter Hunter Higgins — were named to the second team.

Bonners Ferry senior defensive back Charles Henslee and Badger senior punter Blake Rice were named to the first team. Bonners senior linebacker Cleo Henslee was named to the second team.

2A: Kellogg senior Kolby Luna was named to the All-Idaho first team as a wide receiver and defensive back. Kellogg senior Riply Luna was named first team quarterback, and Kellogg senior linebacker Varick Meredith was named first team.

Priest River senior Matyus McLain, an Idaho commit, was named to the first team as a defensive lineman.

St. Maries senior offensive lineman Landon Warren was named to the second team.

1A Division II: Three Mullan/St. Regis players were named to the All-Idaho second team — senior tight end Blake Layton, junior kicker Kofi Appiah and senior defensive back Caleb Ball.

Coaches statewide vote on the all-state teams; the Statesman compiles the results.
