Nearly 100 local school children, ages 4 to 18, will take the stage as part of Dance Theatre Northwest’s annual performance of “The Nutcracker” at NIC’s Schuler Performing Arts Center. Ballet dancers from the studio will perform in this magical holiday ballet on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m.

Andrea Goad, owner of Dance Theatre Northwest, started the production of "The Nutcracker" in 2021 with the intention to spread the love of dance throughout the community and to share the beloved ballet with the local community.

Ticket prices range from $15-$20 with a percentage of the proceeds being donated to the CDA Backpack Program and The LEAD Program. Tickets by visiting www.dancerecitalticketing.com/26458/.

Founded by Goad in 2009, Dance Theatre Northwest offers one of the most complete dance instruction programs in the Coeur d’Alene area. With classes geared for all ages and family members, DTNW provides ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, contemporary and hip hop instruction to more than 225 students. The studio is based in Rathdrum.
