2023 Big Sky men's and women's basketball tournament times announced

FARMINGTON, Utah — Tip-off times for the 2023 Big Sky men's and women's basketball championships in Boise were announced on Tuesday by the conference office.

The tournaments are scheduled for March 4-8 at Idaho Central Arena in Boise, with 18 games scheduled over five days.

Both the men's and women's tournaments tip off on Saturday, March 4, with the championship games slated for Wednesday, March 8. Tip-off times will mirror past tournament schedules, with the women's games slated for the early session and the men's contests set for the evening.

The women's bracket will feature two games each day at 11 a.m. PST and 1:30 p.m. PST on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, before the 2 p.m. PST championship game on Wednesday. All games will be streamed on ESPN+, with the women's championship matchup airing on ESPNU for the first time.

The men's bracket will feature two games each day at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. PST on Saturday, Sunday and Monday before a 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. PST semifinal slate on Tuesday, followed by a late 8:30 p.m. PST tip-off for the championship game on Wednesday. Tuesday's first semifinal game will air on ESPNU, while the nightcap will air on ESPN2. The men's championship will also air on ESPN2, moving up from its ESPNU slot from a year ago.

Zags Timme, Truong named WCC Players of the Week

Gonzaga’s Drew Timme was named West Coast Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, and the Zags' Kaylynne Truong was named WCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Timme shot 63.6 percent from the field (21 of 33 FG) en route to averaging 27.5 points in victories over Northern Illinois and No. 4/5 Alabama. The senior also added 8.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 32.5 minutes.

Truong averaged 22.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals in wins over BYU and San Diego.
