Eastern's Coward named
Big Sky Player of the Week
After recording a triple-double against Northwest Indian College last week, Cedric Coward was named Big Sky men's basketball Player of the Week. Coward posted the program's second triple-double with 10 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. The sophomore was 4-of-6(66.7%) from the floor in the game, while tying his career-high with two blocks. His assist and rebound totals were both career-highs.
Coward is one of 16 players in Division I to record a triple-double this season.
Bogdan Bliznyuk recorded the program's first triple double against Northern Arizona on Jan. 16, 2016. Bliznyuk finished with 11 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in the game.
Coward's efforts helped Eastern score 130 points to tie for the second most points in a single game in program history. It was also the 79th game with the team scoring over 100 points and first this season.
This season, the Fresno, Calif. native is second on the team and 10th in the Big Sky with 5.6 rebounds per game. The sophomore also ranks 25th in assists per game (1.8), 15th in blocks per game (0.5) and 21st in steals (0.9).
Maxwell picks up

SAN MATEO, Calif. – Gonzaga's Brynna Maxwell is the University Credit Union West Coast Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced.
Maxwell helped Gonzaga to its fifth-straight victory and remain unbeaten at home this season (8-0) with a season-high 23 points against Montana. The senior was 8-for-12 from the floor and misfired just once on her six attempts from behind the arc (5-6). Maxwell also connected on both of her free-throw attempts and grabbed a rebound in 31 minutes.
This is the first weekly honor for Maxwell this season, and Gonzaga's fourth this season.
