Kori Patricia Payne of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away Dec. 23, 2022, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Born May 15, 1980, in Everett, Wash., to David and Linda, Kori grew up in Everett and lived most of her life there. She attended Cascade High School. In 1999, Kori met Thomas Payne and his two young boys. Tom and Kori married Sept. 6, 2001, in Reno. Kori became a stepmother to those two boys, but there was nothing "STEP" about it. They were her boys and she raised them as her own! As a family, they enjoyed camping, fishing and going to the racetrack.

Kori enjoyed having gatherings with family and friends. Kori didn't have many "friends" because she never considered them friends, she always considered them "family." Kori and Tom relocated to Idaho in November of 2017 to be closer to Kori's parents.

Kori dedicated herself to her family, extended family and friends that loved her very much and she will be greatly missed by all. Kori's surviving family includes her beloved husband, Tom, her two sons, Jeremy and Curtis, grandkids Ryleigh, Zachary and Dustin; mother Linda Seat; sister Buffy Deno (Damen); brother William Seat; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daddy, David Seat, and mother-in-law Nancy.

There will be a celebration of life Jan. 15, 2023, at Dmacks in Hauser, Idaho, at 1 p.m. and another celebration of life on the West Coast later in 2023 when the weather warms up.
