Zags' Timme named to Abdul-Jabbar Award Top 10 list
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Gonzaga's Drew Timme was named one of the 10 candidates for the 2022 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced Friday.
The honor recognizes the top centers in men’s college basketball. A national committee of top college basketball personnel determined the watch list of 20 candidates in November, which has now been narrowed to 10.
Timme is eighth in the nation shooting 62.1 percent from the field. He leads the conference in field goals made per game (6.9) and free throws made per game (4.1). The junior is second in the league in field goal percentage and third in points per game (18.1).

WSU to make up women's basketball home game vs. Oregon on Wednesday
SAN FRANCISCO — Washington State women's basketball team will host Oregon in a makeup game Wednesday in Beasley Coliseum in Pullman, the Pac-12 announced. Tip-off is set for noon and will air live on the Pac-12 Networks.
The contest will serve as a makeup game from the postponed contest on Jan. 23 between the Cougars and the Ducks in Pullman.
Tickets purchased for the originally scheduled game against Oregon on Jan. 23 will be valid the Feb. 9 contest.
