Holmquist, Heino file for re-election

A list of Flathead County elected officials have filed in recent weeks seeking re-election, according to the county election department.

Commissioner Republican Pam Holmquist has filed for re-election to a third term on the county commission. Holmquist represents District 2 in the central part of the county and began her first term in 2011.

County Attorney Travis Ahner looks to retain his spot as the county’s top attorney. The Republican has filed seeking his second term.

Sheriff Brian Heino, also a Republican, has filed to run for a second term.

Clerk and Recorder Republican Debbie Pierson is seeking re-election for her position.

One newcomer has also filed. In the County Superintendent of Schools race Cal Ketchum, who is the superintendent at West Valley School District, has filed as a Republican.

The spot is currently held by Republican Jack Eggensperger, who has not yet filed for re-election.

Both incumbents for the non-partisan Justice of the Peace positions have filed. Eric Hummel has filed for the Justice of the Peace Department 1 position and Paul Sullivan has filed for the Justice of Peace Department 2 position.

County Treasurer Republican Adele Krantz has not yet filed for re-election.

The deadline to file is March 14.
