Chris "the mailman" Carr wins Super Bowl Challenge

Chris “the mailman” Carr became $100 richer thanks to a Johnny Hekker botched hold on an extra point in the second quarter of Super Bowl 56.
Carr picked the Los Angeles Rams to win and predicted the score perfectly (23-20).
“The game was really centered on both offenses; they weren’t giving the defenses enough credit,” Carr said. “Especially the Bengals, I didn’t think it was going to be high scoring.”
Carr and his family enjoyed the game in the comfort of their home, where they enjoyed chili brats and Red Robin fries.
According to Carr, he has perfected the seasoning on the fries.
Carr has been a carrier at the postal service for 20 years and has been a Sandpoint resident for over 40.
He is also a lifelong Bills fan and was originally going to enter a joke submission because he was still feeling the effects of the Bills 42-36 overtime loss to the Chiefs in the divisional round.
“Football was dead to me,” Carr said. “I was going to write Bills 100-0 with Josh Allen as the MVP. But my wife talked me out of it.”
One of Carr’s best friends is a Rams fan, so he was happy to see Los Angeles win for him. He was also excited for Cooper Kupp who won Super Bowl MVP.
Kupp, who’s from Yakima and is an Eastern Washington graduate, won the award after scoring the game-winning touchdown.
Carr had Aaron Donald slated as his MVP winner, who was up for serious consideration, meaning Carr could’ve swept the board.
“He was a one-man wrecking crew,” Carr said. “I thought he was very deserving and the way he shut down the Bengals on the last two plays was incredible.”
Thank you to everyone who competed in this year’s Bonner County Daily Bee Super Bowl contest.
