WASDEN: Just doing his job

Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 4 years, 2 months AGO
| February 16, 2022 1:00 AM

What a wonderful day Saturday! The Press (digital) was loaded with goodies.

Words with Wasden is a classic. We have a very good Attorney General who does his job exactly as his oath of office requires. He does not buckle to the noisy, crazy legislators who DO NOT follow their oath of office. Same with our LT Governor Janice McGeachin who also does NOT follow her oath of office.

AG Wasden follows the federal Constitution and the State Constitution, as we elected him to do. Our Constitution is our core.

When our legislators try to pass unconstitutional bills, Wasden tries to stop them and save taxpayers money AND embarrassment. But the legislators ignore him and pass the unconstitutional bills. Then they (we) get taken to court and lose the easy Constitutional case. Then taxpayers pay the legal bills, all of them. This repeats again and again.

I do wonder if our voters really want to be represented by current legislators? Would you run your business that way? People who work for you ignore you? The legislators are not ignoring the crazies, they are ignoring the vast majority of us who want order and the Constitution followed.

Are we happy to get a $20 increase in the grocery tax credit two years from now? Or do we want the grocery tax eliminated?

Remember, the people had to force the legislature to allow an expansion of Medicaid, health care for the poor.

Pay attention.
