The Priest River wrestling team is sending eight wrestlers to the state wrestling tournament on Saturday Feb. 26, at the Holt Arena in Pocatello.

Here is how each kids bracket is looking as we inch two days closer to the tournament.

Colm McLaimtaig is the fifth seed at 106-pounds and will face Fruitland’s Jake Swann.

Swann is a freshman and is 18-19.

Collin Magers, who finished third at the district tournament, did not get seeded in the 126-pound weight class.

The 11-10 sophomore will face off against fifth seed Buhl junior Julian Ruiz.

132-pounder Aidan Troumbley will face off against Grayson Williams from American Falls in the opening round. Williams is 46-7 on the year

Caeden McLaimtaig, who is also wrestling at 132, will face off against Fernando Camacho from Parma.

Bradley Bennett, the 160-pounder, will face off against Fruitland’s KJ Dullanty.

195-pounder Matyus McLain will have an interesting matchup with Challis Stanger from McCall-Donnelly.

The two have near identical records. Mclain is 23-14 and Stanger is 30-14.

Freshman Caleb Grow will open up his first state tournament appearance against Teton’s Zach Moss.
