KCSO: One dead amid structure fire

POST FALLS — Police found one person dead Monday night while responding to a fire, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.

KCSO responded to a report of a structure fire in the 8900 block of Hauser Lake Road around 8 p.m. Monday.

Deputies reportedly discovered two people at the scene who had sustained gunshots wounds, one of whom was deceased.

The other individual was transported to Kootenai Health.

The individuals had not been identified as of late Monday.
