NIC men’s and women’s basketball schedules adjusted
The North Idaho College men’s and women’s basketball games that were originally scheduled for the two upcoming weeks have been rescheduled.
The Northwest Athletic Conference decided last week that pushing the basketball season back two weeks is in the best interest of the league, the players, and the community considering the current COVID-19 climate. The decision was made after discussion among the NWAC Executive Board, men’s and women’s basketball committee members, and representatives from the Sports Medicine Advisory Committee.
The NWAC plans to take the games from the first two weeks of January and move them to the end of the season to reduce the number of changes to the schedule. The NWAC Championship tournament has therefore been pushed back to mid- to late March. The tourney will now be March 17-20 and March 26-27 at Everett Community College.
League play for North Idaho College will start on Saturday, Jan. 15 as they host Walla Walla Community College.
