Dollee Marie Meredith, 87

Dollee Marie Meredith kept her faith to the end and graduated from her temporary home at The Lodge memory care facility (Post Falls) to her forever home on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2021. She had been praying until the end to go home to be with Jesus and to be reunited with her beloved Jack. ILYMTYLM, NC. (“I love you more than you love me, no changes.”)

Her family wishes to thank the many attendants who took care of her at The Lodge over the last eight months of her life.

Dollee met the love of her life, Jack, at North Central High School. She constantly called him a good, good man. They were married for 63 years until his death in February 2017.

Dollee was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Maybelle. She leaves her brother, Homer James (Judy) and sister Judy. Collectively they were known as Judy, Jimmy and the Cinnamon Bear. Also surviving are her children, Scotte (Renae), Diane Gordon (Jack), and Craig (Margaret). She was grandmother to six grandchildren, Andrew, Mark, Kaarin, Rebecca, Ian and Angus and seven great-grandchildren Gabriel, Eliza, Alan, Lienn, Wendy, Zeke and Juniper, as well as numerous other extended family.

Dollee was born on July 7, 1934, in Spokane, Wash. She grew up around the Northwest and attended Garfield Elementary and North Central High School. She kept in touch with many of her North Central classmates for many, many years.

Dollee was active in radio, first with co-hosting The Woman at Home with Bev Baker on KCFA radio, then becoming the sole host in later years. She illustrated the cookbook they put out together. When KCFA became KMBI, the program name and focus changed and it was called Woman to Woman. It was syndicated throughout the Moody Radio Network. She spoke at Moody Founders Week in 1981. Until this day, her children meet people who were inspired by her radio program and the newsletters she sent out.

She and Jack spoke at numerous marriage seminars across the nation and in some foreign countries and mentored countless couples and individuals.

She served in women’s leadership and as a small group leader at several area churches, including First Evangelical Free Church, Spokane and His Place Evangelical Free Church, Post Falls.

Dollee leaves a legacy of service for Christ and lives touched by her life, demonstrating how to live the Christian life.

A memorial service may be held at a later date.
