There's 'snow' many reasons to read
BRENDEN BOBBY Contributing Writer | Bonner County Daily Bee | UPDATED 3 years AGO
It’s too cold and icy outside for the kids to play, and that can mean only one thing: screaming, fighting and practicing the best wrestling moves on the brand new tablet from Christmas.
While that may have technically been three things, it can be summed up with a single point: destruction.
Looking for something a little more constructive to enrich these short winter days? The Library is hosting a winter reading program that rewards you and the kids for taking time to read books! It’s going to take the snow some time to melt, anyway, why not give your brain a little bit of exercise while you pass the time?
Log the minutes that you’ve read for, either digitally or on paper and earn prizes like books and bookmarks just for reading. Everyone who participates is also entered in the grand prize drawing at the end of the program on Feb. 7.
Are you looking to augment your reading experience with the kids and develop your skills as a storyteller in the process? Stop by the Sandpoint library at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays, or 3 p.m. on Thursdays for Storytime with leaders from our community. Are you interested in other children’s programs coming up? Don’t forget to check out the library’s website at www.ebonnerlibrary.org, or give us a call at 208-263-6930. You can also email our children’s librarian, Erin, at erin@ebonnerlibrary.org.
We look forward to seeing you and the whole family!
