Laurence (Larry) Ronald Seaward II, age 68, of Hayden, Idaho, passed away on Monday, Nov. 8, 2021. He was born on Jan. 25, 1952, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Mary and Larry Seaward I.

At the age of 19, Larry enlisted in the Army. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of an E-4 Specialist, while serving in Korea as a Communication Specialist during the Vietnam War. As part of this service, he was awarded the Good Conduct medal, National Defense Service medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary medal, and Expert (Rifle). Larry was then later called to active duty during Desert Storm.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Shannon Grossman and son-in-law Ryan, grandchildren Alexia, Naiya, Noah and Josiah. As well as siblings Debbi and brother-in-law Griff, Mike and sister-in-law Ilene — plus nephews and their children — all of whom will feel the loss of no longer being able to laugh at “Larry jokes”.

Larry will be missed for his desire to make people laugh, his dedication to raising his daughter as a single father, and for his unmatched ability to keep things highly organized.

Larry spent his final years living in Idaho with his dog, Foxtail, enjoying working part-time for the Coeur d’Alene Police Department. He kept an impeccable yard, relished discussing the first sign of winter — the beloved studded snow tire season — and those that knew him, could count on him to be dependable as he was a man of routine. His role of dad, grandpa, big brother, uncle, and friend, will be sorely missed!

A celebration of life honoring the life of Larry Seaward will be held in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on July 9, 2022. For more info, please contact 410-271-2152.
