Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 4 years, 1 month AGO
Maddox- Harold Jay was born in Los Angeles, Calif., on August 29, 1944, to Ginny and William (Chick) Maddox. He passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on June 24, 2022, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, at age 77. He married the love of his life, Pamela (Pam) J. Maddox, in 1982, and lived a wholesome life full of love, adventures and laughter. They recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Nothing was more important to Harold than his family. His love for Pam was unprecedented. Harold loved life and was proud of the retirement home he built for his bride 25 years ago in North Idaho.
Harold served in the Navy on the USS Benner from August 1965 to June 1969. After retirement, Harold and Pam enjoyed traveling around the United States and taking cruises around the world where they made lifelong memories and friendships. Harold was a generous man, genuine, a jokester and a friend to everyone who crossed paths with him. Those who had the privilege of meeting Harold would say he was funny, inspirational, a motivator and a true entertainer.
His survivors, in addition to his beloved Pam, are his daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Rome Fiore, son, Alan Maddox, his two grandsons & granddaughter-in-law, Jason & Brittany Allan and Justin Baxley and great-grandkids, Liam and Scarlett.
May your playful soul shine on. He is gone but never forgotten
