James L. Hazen, 36, of Post Falls, Idaho passed away at Kootenai Health on June 13th 2022 due to complications of septic shock. James was born in Modesto, California on November 6th, 1985 to parents Shirley and Charles.

He moved to Post Falls in 2006 and found a career cooking at local restaurants: The White House and Dennys.

James was an avid music lover, mainly classic rock and Metal. He loved to make people laugh. He was an amazing friend, teacher, father, and partner. He was loved by so many that knew him and worked with him.

He loved Jack Daniels, dad jokes, IPAs, mosh-pits, every dog he ever met, and late night horror movies.

James always wanted a family and he took his role as partner, father, and step-dad to heart. He was patient, calm, loving, and even when very sick he was empathetic to those around him.

He is preceded in death by his Father and his Mother. He leaves behind his fiance Shandi, his 18 m/o daughter Serenity, and step-sons Justice and Warren. He is also survived by his older brother Aaron, sister in law Tabby, niece Sabryna and nephew Kyle.
