WCC announces men's basketball 2022-23 conference matchups

Gonzaga will play San Diego once — at home, and Pacific once — on the road — as the West Coast Conference announced the matchups for its 16-game conference schedule for each of its 10 men's basketball programs for the 2022-23 season.

This is the fifth season the WCC will play a 16-game schedule after changes adopted by the WCC Presidents' Council as part of the Conference's Men's Basketball Enhancement Plan prior to the start of the 2018-19 season.

The matchups detailed below designate the 16-game home and away opponents for the upcoming season based on a conference formula including the team NET rankings from recent seasons, last year's conference tournament seedings, and a spring survey of the league's 10 head coaches.

The regular-season WCC matchups for the 2022-23 season are as follows. Specific dates for each contest will be announced later this summer after the conference schedule is finalized.

GONZAGA — Home: San Diego. Away: Pacific. Home/Away: BYU, LMU, Pepperdine, Portland, Saint Mary's, San Francisco, Santa Clara.

BYU — Home: Portland. Away: San Diego. Home/Away: Gonzaga, LMU, Pacific, Pepperdine, Saint Mary's San Francisco, Santa Clara.

LOYOLA MARYMOUNT — Home: San Francisco. Away: Santa Clara: Home/Away: BYU, Gonzaga, Pacific, Pepperdine, Portland, Saint Mary's, San Diego.

PACIFIC — Home: Gonzaga. Away: Saint Mary's. Home/Away: BYU, LMU, Pepperdine, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Clara.

PEPPERDINE — Home: Saint Mary's. Away: San Francisco. Home/Away: BYU, Gonzaga, LMU, Pacific, Portland, San Diego, Santa Clara.
