Independence Day Weekend in sports

The Moses Lake BMX Association began hosting races on Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the summer at the Larson BMX Track.

The races began with the national anthem, with riders holding small American flags and riding throughout the course.
The Moses Lake BMX Association welcomes riders of all ages, so long as they have a helmet and bike. They also have helmets and bikes available to rent.
The World Sports League held a tournament at the Paul Lauzier Athletic Complex and Larson Playfield this weekend, bringing in teams from Washington and Oregon.
The slowpitch tournament was a family-friendly event, where teams and their families could hang out even when not playing.
Eleven teams came out to Lions park in Othello for the volleyball tournament on July 4.

Volleyball teams were composed of both males and females over the age of 14.
