WOKE SOCIETY: It’s not working
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 4 years, 1 month AGO
Ponder this. With all this pushing for a Woke Society, who is it we are actually waking up? Let’s look at the overall picture. Are guns assault weapons? If a knife is used, is it then an assault knife? If a club is used, is it then an assault club? Of course not. And there is no such thing as gun violence. There is only a perpetrator, an act, and a tool used.
After World War II, there were Army surplus stores all over the country. You could purchase military grade rifles and other various weapons with no paperwork, no wait and no questions asked. Why weren’t these weapons used to create havoc all over the country? Could it be, we hadn’t given the mentally unstable a feeling of validity, and then constantly coddled them? Could it be that our slowly developed, so-called Woke Society, has been simply releasing anyone from responsibility? And, actually empowering the irresponsible.
In the past, certain actions were shunned by society, and the threat of humiliation provided for certain social constraints. I don’t care what you think, what you do that doesn’t hurt others or what you say. Just don’t expect others to accept it as part of their life. By the way, often, the more you push something on someone, the more resistance you create.
