I have deep North Idaho roots and graduated from Eastern Washington University with an English degree with a creative writing emphasis with a minor in film. I worked at at the Bonner County Daily Bee before coming to work at the Bonners Ferry Herald in August 2021. I enjoy writing for the paper that my great-grandfather read and covering the same small town community that is still alive today. I cover all things Badger sports, local politics and government, community news, business, outdoors and appear on the 7Bee podcast for the Herald's update. When I'm not working I can be found reading a good book and sipping tea, knitting or attempting to sign opera. | July 14, 2022 1:00 AM

NAPLES — After a 13-year hiatus, Naples Gallery held its grand opening July 1.

Suzanne Lubline, proprietor and curator of the gallery told the Bonners Ferry Herald that it was a well-attended grand opening and many guests and artists reconnected after many years. There have also been positive reviews across social media.

Bonners Ferry Art Club members were also honored at the event.

The gallery includes artisans from a multitude of disciplines, from pastel, watercolor and oils to jewelry making, pottery, multimedia and others. The gallery is the perfect place to view and purchase local art, Lubline said.

The gallery is located just north of Moose Valley Farmers at 495433 U.S. 95. Naples Gallery is a serene view place. She added the red barn facade opens up into a well staged room with hints of Tuscan themes displayed on a single wall mural.

Lubline said the little touches of Tuscany bring a little Italy to Naples.

The gallery is open Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Guests who are unable to attend during open hours can make an appointment by calling the gallery at 208-716-9741.

The Naples Gallery is also open to occasions and events; call for more information. Art classes will be coming soon.
