LITTLE LEAGUE: Coeur d'Alene 11U forces deciding game at state

LEWISTON — Coeur d'Alene's 11U all-stars scored in the bottom of the sixth inning to beat North Boise 5-4 on Saturday at Airport Park, squaring their best-of-3 series for the state title at one game apiece.
The deciding game is scheduled for today at 9 a.m. at Airport Park.
In the bottom of the sixth, Caleb Brumbach singled, and Kovack Dolan's walk-off double scored special pinch runner Blake Anderson with the winning run.
Coeur d'Alene scored three runs in the fourth, on hits by Clay Larwin, Nathan Babak, Levi Miller, Austin Melanson and Cooper Fordham to tie the game.
Cd'A's pitchers, Brumbach and Miller, combined for nine strikeouts.
North Boise won Game 1 13-1 on Friday.
• In the 12U division, Lewiston defeated West Valley in nine innings to win their best-of-3 series two games to none, and advance to the Northwest Regional in San Bernardino, Calif.
