Othello man arrested for assault

OTHELLO — An Othello man was booked into the Adams County Jail Tuesday on suspicion of first-degree assault following an incident in the 2100 block of West Moon Street south of Othello Monday night.

According to an Adams County Sheriff’s Office statement, Heladio Sanderman Vasquez, 46, was booked after he allegedly attacked another man by hitting him in the head with a folding chair.

The victim arrived at Othello Community Hospital while ACSO deputies were there working on another case, the statement said.

The case is still under investigation.
