James “Jim” Edwin Ellison was born Sept. 2, 1955, in Kenosha, Wis., to Duane and Joan (May) Ellison. He passed away July 8 in Ocala, Fla., where he resided at the time of his death.

Jim left Kenosha with his parents and siblings and moved to Anaconda, Montana in 1963. They then moved to Missoula, Mont., in 1964. They finally relocated to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, in 1967, where he remained for the majority of his life. He graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1974.

Jim practiced many trades throughout his life. He worked at Custom Furniture & Cabinets (now Huntwood). He also worked in building construction, owned a fire and water damage restoration company and worked as an insurance adjustor.

He loved all sports as he raced motorcycles at Huetter Speedway and Greenacres Raceway in Colville, Wash., and snow-skied. He truly loved watersports the most and became an avid barefoot skier. He did all of this in spite of struggling with Type 1 diabetes from the age of 12, which led to a disability later in life.

Jim met his companion Vicki White and they traveled extensively, visiting many foreign countries. Vicki remained his loving soulmate until his passing.

Jim is survived by Vicki White, Sisters: Linda (Bill) Sandow, Lisa (Mike) Deming, Brothers: Kevin (Wendy) Ellison, Shawn (Lisa) Ellison and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Know you were loved and will be sorely missed. There’s peace in where you are. Till then.

At Jim’s request, no service is planned.
