Joe DuCoeur

Coeur d'Alene Lumbermen

The catcher hit 5 for 18 with a team-high six RBIs for the Lumbermen, who finished third at the American Legion state AA tournament in Nampa. "He seems to get big hits — he's Mr. Clutch for us," Coeur d'Alene coach Darren Taylor said. "Plus, he's always upbeat, positive — a perfect teammate. He's got great hands. He's a middle infielder converted to catcher; he gets rid of the ball so fast because he's got an infielder's feet and hands."
