John Michael Tumilty, 77, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away July 22, 2022 at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene. John was born March 6, 1945 in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Hubert “Pat” and Helen (Benedict) Tumilty.
After graduating from Pasadena City High School, John enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked in the carpet business with his father for many years before moving to North Idaho to live out his life.
John is preceded in death by his parents and nephews, Rob and Jeff Jones. He is survived by his sister, Marilyn Reames; niece Julie Parks and numerous great nieces and nephews.
John’s final resting place will be Riverview Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene with a private family gathering.
