Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 2 years, 6 months AGO
Born in Redding, Calif., on Sept. 4, 1939, and passed away on July 17, 2022. She attended schools throughout her childhood in California, Washington and Idaho then went on to graduate from Rathdrum High School in 1958, where she made many lifelong friends.
Our mother passed over to be a guardian Angel for the loved ones left behind. She got her wish passing at her quiet little home surrounded by loved ones.
Mom was an amazing stay-at-home mother. She raised eight children, whom she loved very much to the end. Even though it wasn't easy, she always managed to make sure all eight and Joseph were taken care of. She ran an in-home day care, where she raised many more. Later in life she worked at Bobby's Cafe, and Post Falls High School and attended St. Georges Catholic Church. After the 42-year marriage to our late father, Joseph Rohrenbach, she met another love in her life, Bud Brogen. They spent time loving their lives in Post Falls together. She and Bud loved to travel to Arizona in their motorhome, fishing trips (where she usually out-fished Bud), baking goodies like bread and cinnamon rolls to share with all the neighbors. She also loved sewing, gardening, trips to the casino and going to the rodeo. She never missed an occasion in sending a card and a plate of goodies to whomever she knew.
After the passing of her best friend and companion Bud in 2017, she moved to Rathdrum into her little home. She enjoyed the quiet, wildlife, her puppies and most of all, her hummingbirds.
Mom will always be in our hearts and never forgotten as she lives on in all of us.
Proceeded in death she joins her parents: Stanley and Estella Jacklin, brothers: Paul Butch and Mike Jacklin. Her grandson, Aric Rohrenbach. Great-grandson Issiah Search. Our late father, Joseph Rohrenbach, and her best friend and companion, Bud Brogan.
