Bruce E. Vickerman, 79

Colonel Bruce E. Vickerman, Retired USAF ~ Always an Officer and a Gentleman!

Bruce died Dec. 23, 2021, in Kennewick, Wash. Bruce was born in Wallace, ID on Dec. 7, 1942. He was raised in Wallace, ID and after graduating from high school, he continued his education at the University of Idaho where he graduated with a degree in business administration and accounting. He later earned his master’s degree in business management from the University of Arkansas.

After graduating from the University of Idaho, he joined the Air Force where he spent the next 26 years working for the USAF Audit Agency. His assignments took him and his family from the west coast to the east coast plus Hawaii and England. It was a wonderful life.

After retiring from the Air Force, Bruce and his wife, Jenet, built their retirement home on Avondale Golf Course in Hayden, Idaho. Bruce served as the HOA president, and also served as the president and treasurer of the Avondale Golf Course Men’s Club.

After 30 years of living on the golf course, Bruce and Jenet moved to a condo in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. As Bruce’s health started to decline they moved to Kennewick, Wash., to be near their daughter, Carrie and her family.

Bruce leaves behind is loving wife of 63 years, Jenet Wegner Vickerman, his daughter Carrie Brittain and husband Jim, his son Lonnie Vickerman and wife Merrillyn, his granddaughter Melanie Schaaf and husband Mike, his great-grandson Dylan Schaaf, and his brother, Raymond Vickerman and wife Susan.

Services will be at Memorial Gardens in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on June 11, 2022, at 1 p.m.
