BONNERS FERRY — Rain didn’t dampen the excitement at viewing classic and vintage cars at the Rod Benders classic car show on Saturday.
Amidst the mild sprinkling of rain, community members mingled with cotton candy in hand between the farmers market and classic cars. It was a busy weekend with graduation celebrations happening simultaneously. There were fewer cars in attendance due to the Canadian visitors being absent. But the community still showed up in droves and rain didn't stop the fun and enthusiasm.
Officials thanked the community for coming out in the rain. There were 53 cars registered and 26 awards were given out. Mike and Patty Boes of Post Falls won with their 1964 Pontiac Bonneville.
