Haley Loffer
College of Idaho softball
Loffer, a senior shortstop from Lake City High, was named to the CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) Academic All-American second team, announced on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Loffer became just the second player in program history to earn multiple All-American honors with her selection to the NAIA Second Team All-American recognition. Loffer along with Destiny Turner, who was a two-time second team selection in 2016 and 2017, respectively. Furthermore, it is just the eighth All American honor in program history.
Loffer helped lead College of Idaho to a third-straight appearance in the NAIA Tournament in 2022 and holds school records for runs scored (189), triples (14), walks (110) and stolen bases (115) and is second in on-base percentage (.503), home runs (21) and third in slugging percentage (.624), total bases (314) and fourth in doubles (38). In 2022, she hit .464 with 58 hits and 57 runs scored with 42 stolen bases, 5 triples and 5 home runs. She was named Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Week twice during the season and named to the Academic All-Conference team for a third time this season. The program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions.

Smith, a senior second baseman from Coeur d'Alene High, started 51 games for the Yotes (43-17), batting .275 (42 for 153) with 27 RBIs and 35 runs scored.
Rylee Brown
Lewis-Clark State track and field
Brown, a senior from Coeur d'Alene High, ran a personal best leg of 2 minutes, 17.04 seconds at the NAIA Championships on May 27 in Gulf Shores, Ala., helping the Warriors finish seventh in 9:22.69. "The conditions made it tough for us, but Rylee did a great job trying to get us back in there," Lewis-Clark State coach Mike Collins said. "I couldn't be prouder. Sometimes the hardest thing is to get to the final, and they did the hard thing."
Payton Childers
Yakima Valley baseball
Childers, a freshman left-handed pitcher from Lake City High, appeared in 16 games for the Yaks (31-18), finishing with a 3-2 record in 29 2/3 innings pitched with 3 saves. Childers struck out 36 and finished with an earned run average of 4.25.
Angelyca Chapman
Weber State track and field
Chapman, a freshman from Lake City High, finished seventh in the women's 400 at the Big Sky Championships at Idaho State University in Pocatello, finishing in 57.47 seconds.
All-Big Sky Conference
Academic awards
Matt Ward (sophomore, Coeur d'Alene High/Montana track and field), Allison Kirby (senior, Timberlake/Idaho women's basketball) and Grady Leonard (senior, Coeur d'Alene High/Idaho track and field) were named to the All-Big Sky Conference Academic team, the conference announced. To be eligible, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or better and competed in at least half of their teams' competitions during the season.
