AAU boys basketball tourney coming up next week at Coeur d'Alene High.

COEUR d'ALENE — Coeur d'Alene High is hosting the second TitleOne Coeur d'Alene Summer Shootout AAU boys basketball tournament next Tuesday through Thursday at Coeur d'Alene High.

More than 30 high school teams from throughout the Northwest are expected.

Fans are welcome — a day pass is $10, or a three-day pass is available for $25.

Symons, Sims, Zufelt picked for all-star hoops game

Three North Idaho girls are on the 2A/3A East roster for the 25th annual Washington/North Idaho all-state girls basketball games, scheduled for Saturday at the HUB Sports Center in Liberty Lake.

Madi Symons, a rising senior at Coeur d'Alene High; Capri Sims, a rising senior at Post Falls; and Sophia Zufelt, a rising junior at Lake City are listed on the roster for the 2A/3A East team, which is scheduled to play the 2A/3A West team at 5:30 p.m.

The B East is slated to play the B West at 1:30, followed by 1A East vs. 1A West at 3:30.

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under and $3 for seniors (62 and older).

Gove wins Oregon Open; Hatley ties for ninth

SUNRIVER, Ore. — Jeff Gove, pro at The Idaho Club outside Sandpoint, won the Oregon Open Invitational in a one-hole playoff Thursday at Crosswater Golf Course.

Gove shot 70-68-69—207, 9 under par, tied for first with Shane Prante of The Home Course in DuPont, Wash.

Amateur Reid Hatley of the Hayden Lake Country Club tied for ninth at 4 under par 212 (74-70-68).

Russell Grove, North Idaho College men's and women's golf coach, tied for 17th at 1 over 217 (72-72-73).

Billy Bomar (Bomar Putting Company), former co-owner of Prairie Falls Golf Club, tied for 30th at 5 over 221 (75-71-75).

The Oregon Open Invitational is one of five major championships conducted by the PGA Pacific Northwest Section.
