Fetch some fun with four-legged friends during the third annual Dog Days of Summer-Fest from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.

The city of Hayden and Companions Animal Center (formerly the Kootenai Humane Society) are inviting canines and their families to enjoy some fun in the sun at Stoddard Park, 8348 N. Chateaux Drive, Hayden.

Festivities will include bouncy houses, hot dogs, cookies, chips and soda, ice cream, face painting, local dog vendors, a Kootenai County Sheriff's Office K-9 demonstration at 12:30 p.m. and more.

The event is free, but donations will be accepted to support funding for additional amenities at Pawfoot Dog Park on Lancaster Road.

Giveaway prizes and goodie bags were donated by local companies and Idaho Central Credit Union.

All ages are welcome. Stoddard Park features one of Hayden’s newest playgrounds.

Today is expected to be cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms and a high temperature of 62 degrees.
