Agri Beef Co. gifts BSU $1.8M to install and upgrade end zone video board

BOISE — Thanks to a $1.8 million commitment from Agri Beef, a family-owned and operated producer of Double R Ranch beef headquartered in Boise, a high-definition video board will be installed on the existing support structure in the north end zone of Albertsons Stadium for the 2022 season, Boise State athletic director Jeramiah Dickey announced Friday.

With the $1.8 million gift, Boise State Athletics has received four commitments greater than $1 million this fiscal year, a department record.

Compared to the current board, the new video board will increase in size by more than 18 feet in width, and the new dimensions will become 77 feet wide by 37 feet tall, and approximately 2,850 square feet. This is roughly a 25% increase in the viewing area. Similar to the recent announcement of a new video board installation in the south end zone, the Double R Ranch video board will feature a state-of-the-art, crystal clear, 10-millimeter HD visual experience.

While a completion date for the upgraded video board is not finalized, it is anticipated the video board will be operating in time for Boise State's home opener vs. UT-Martin on Sept. 17.

Rosauers Open golf tournament needs volunteers

SPOKANE — Officials for the Rosauers Open and Franz Bakery pro-am golf tournament say they "urgently" need community volunteers to assist in a variety of tasks at the five-day event.

The tournament runs from July 13-17 at Indian Canyon Golf Course with a private kick-off event at Arbor Crest Winery on the evening of July 12.

Volunteer shifts include a variety of roles such as kitchen help and on-course responsibilities. Anyone age 14 years or older can volunteer at the golf course and no golf experience is necessary. Volunteers at the winery event must be 21 years or older.

To view and sign up to volunteer, go to www.rosauers.com/rosauers-open

Proceeds from the tournament go directly to Vanessa Behan (formerly the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery), which provides safety for children, strengthens families and creates a healthier community in an environment of unconditional love. To date, the Rosauers Open has raised over 3.3 million dollars for Vanessa Behan.
