Coronado named CWAC girls basketball coach of year

OTHELLO — Othello High School girls basketball coach Adolfo Coronado was named Central Washington Athletic Conference coach of the year and OHS junior Annalee Coronado was named to the CWAC all-conference team. The all-conference basketball teams were announced last week.
Coronado led the Huskies to a third-place finish in the conference, finishing with eight wins and four losses in the conference and a 15-9 record overall.
Junior Briana Andrade was named to the second all-conference team, and senior Hailee Guzaman was selected as honorable mention.
Senior Jorge Buenrostro and junior Julian Alegria were named as honorable mention on the boys all-CWAC team. The OHS boys basketball team finished 2-10 in the conference, and with a 4-14 record overall.

Road projects on hold for Labor Day weekend
MOSES LAKE — With Labor Day weekend dead ahead, drivers will be able to move freely about the state. Most road projects are on hold for the holiday weekend. Nobody will be working on the Hansen Road overpass on Interstate 90, but the lane restrictions that are in effect will continue through the end of the project.
