Six superintendent candidates have been selected for preliminary interviews in the coming week, Lake Pend Oreille School District officials announced Friday.

Selected for interviews were David Dude, Kelly Krombauer, Casey McLaughlin, Becky Meyer, Teresa Rensch, and Dennis Wilson. The preliminary interviews are scheduled to be held March 16-17.

• David Dude of Cary, Illinois

Dude is the chief executive officer of Compass Tree LLC.

Prior to his consulting work, Dude served as worked in school districts of varying sizes in a variety of roles. He was superintendent in a 6,000-student district, chief operations officer in a 13,000-student district, and chief technology officer in a 17,000-student district.

He holds doctorate in educational leadership and two master's degrees in education measurement and education administration from the University of Iowa.

• Kelly Kronbauer of Ellensburg, Washington

Kronbauer is currently director of student services and operations at Ellensburg School District. Kronbauer also has experience as a director of state and federal programs, K-12 building principal experience and teaching experience.

He completed the superintendent certification program through Washington State University, and a master's degree in leadership and administration.

• Casey McLaughlin of Sandpoint

McLaughlin is currently director of federal programs and assistant director of teaching and learning for the Lake Pend Oreille School District in Ponderay. McLaughlin has experience as a middle school and elementary school principal.

He received an education specialist degree for superintendent from the University of Idaho and a master of education degree in education leadership from the University of Idaho.

• Becky Meyer of Rathdrum

Meyer is the current superintendent at Lakeland School District, which has 4,200 students. She has worked as an assistant superintendent, a high school and elementary school principal as well as an assistant principal.

Meyer holds a doctorate from the University of Idaho and a master of education degree from city university.

• Teresa Rensch of Lower Lake, California

Rensch is director of curriculum and instruction in Konocti Unified School District in Lower Lake. She also has experience as a high school and middle school principal as well as teaching experience.

Rensch holds a doctor of education degree in management and leadership from Capella University and a master of arts in education administration from Chicago State University.

• Dennis Wilson of Mountain Home

Wilson is the current superintendent/principal at McKenna Charter School, which has 1,060 students. Prior to this position, Wilson had 18 years of experience as a school superintendent, as well as working as a principal and a teacher.

Wilson holds and education leadership for superintendent credential from Central Michigan University and a master of arts in educational leadership from Central Michigan University.
