Irene Nora Robarge passed away unexpectedly March 22, 2022, at the age of 83. Irene was one of four children born to Mable Foster and Leslie Blanchard. She was born January 6, 1939, in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. Irene married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Robarge, on October 15, 1960, and they were married for 61 years.

Following their nuptials, they moved from Canada to California to begin their life together, where they spent 42 years. They began their married life in the southern California area, where she worked for Security Pacific Bank as a loan administrator for close to 30 years. In 2003, Ron and Irene moved to beautiful North Idaho to enjoy retirement in God’s country.

Irene had a sharp wit and never met a stranger. She was an active member of St. George Catholic Church and had a servant's heart. She loved meeting new people which served her well as she worked at Costco. She was always taking care of others and had generations of kids that viewed her as the neighborhood Grandma.

She enjoyed camping and traveling throughout the United States, Canada and all over the world. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining friends and family and was famous for her pies. Her most cherished memories are when she spent time with her grandsons, and the arrival of her great-grandson.

Irene is survived by her husband Ronald Robarge; her son Stephen and his wife Josie of Beaumont, Calif.; grandson Alexander Robarge of Mesquite, Texas; grandson Nicholas and wife Katie Robarge, and great grandson Hunter of Rockwall, Texas; granddaughter Theresa and husband Shawn Rogers and great grandchildren Ella, Juniper and Lev of Norway; granddaughter Amber and husband Mike Watts and great grandson Ryan of Longbeach, Calif.; grandson, Nicholas Vasquez of Redlands, Calif.; brother Larry McDonald of Cornwall, Ontario, Canada; and sister Shirley Doucette of Barry, Ontario, Canada.

Rosary is scheduled for Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., at St. George Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 2, at 10:30 a.m., at St. George Catholic Church in Post Falls, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Vincent de Paul.
