James “Jim” Patrick Eacho, 75

Beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend, James “Jim” Patrick Eacho, left his failing mortal body behind Saturday, April 23, 2022, in the company of his sweet wife Shelley, their children and some grandchildren.

Born May 29, 1946, to Arthur and Florence Eacho, in Spokane, Wash., Jim developed into an outgoing, adventurous, kind, generous and loving man. Jim liked to play! Many memories of Jim will include boats, water skis, jet skis, ATVs, snowmobiles, motorhomes, tents, metal detectors, guns, fishing poles and a proclivity for some serious air guitar and drums during almost any kind of music. Jim loved interacting with people which kept him in vehicle and motorhome sales for many years. He was often top salesperson, an accolade likely influenced by how many vehicles he would purchase for himself! He worked tirelessly so he could play equally hard.

Jim will also be remembered for his tremendous heart. He was an observer and listener who was nonjudgmental and saw the best in others. Throughout his mortal life, Jim developed a firm belief in Jesus Christ. He strove to live like Christ would have him live. In his waning years, Jim was always good for an extremely long and thoughtful prayer before dinner, sometimes resulting in cold food. He was largely selfless. He had a freshly fractured spine and broken ribs, but mostly wanted to know how your day was and if he could do anything for you. Jim had tender feelings and was often observed shedding a tear over someone’s successes, good fortune, or heartache.

Neighbors will miss Jim’s yard. He spent countless hours manicuring the lawn and gardens to near perfection. This and many other things Jim did to demonstrate love for his spouse. Anyone close to Jim knows how much he loves his “Soft Warm” Shelley. Jim wholeheartedly believed his relationship with Shelley and others would persist beyond mortal death. He knew this was made possible by the sacrifice of his Savior, Jesus Christ. It is this same testimony that does and can lend comfort to Jim’s family, friends and others, as we now anxiously await our reunion with him in the hereafter.

Those wishing to pay respects or celebrate Jim’s life are welcome to attend his funeral on Friday, May 6, 2022, at the LDS chapel at 2293 W Hanley Ave, Coeur d’Alene, ID, 83815. A viewing will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by the main service at 11:30 a.m. Following this, a short graveside service will be held at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens.
