Mabel Orvie Walker, 83
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 4 years, 3 months AGO
Mabel Orvie Walker, 83, born Feb. 13, 1939, stepped from this earth into the arms of her loving Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, April 30, 2022.
Mabel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. To Mabel there were no strangers; everyone she encountered was forever in her heart and on her prayer list. Although Mabel had a zest for life, she was no stranger to hardship as she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean, and three of her children, Jesse, Gloria and Charles (Chuck).
She is survived by one daughter, Wanda of Oregon, daughter-in-law Donna Walker of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Grandchildren Tiffany Walker, Jesse Walker-Bills, James Forest Nichols, Richard Charles Nichols, John David Nichols, Misty Spring Nichols, Autumn Jean Walker, John Robert Walker, Winter Lily Walker, step-grandson Larry Castro and numerous nieces and nephews.
Through it all, Mabel always clung to her faith in God. She believed each new day was full of blessings not yet realized. If you asked her how she was doing you would always receive the same answer: “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” As we remember Mabel today, may we always carry with us her amazing attitude for life into our tomorrows.
Special thanks to Grace Miller, who cared for Mabel so beautifully during this past several years. Mabel always spoke of her thankfulness for Grace.
Memorial service to be held at 3 p.m., Friday, May 6, at Bell Tower Funeral Home, Post Falls, Idaho.
