Nearly 70 boys were in the individual chase but only 25 qualified, which was capped at 107.
Also heading to Sidney from Mineral County is a pair of Superior Bobcats golfers, Carter McLees, who finished 18th with a 100 score, and teammate Carter Woodson who was one stroke behind McLees with a 101, good for 19th place.
Superior coach Seth Kuhl said the team would depart Sundayon the 669 miles each way trip to Sidney near the North Dakota-Montana border.
“We leave for the state tournament Sunday (15),” he said. “The tournament practice rounds are Monday, while Tuesday and Wednesday are the two days we compete. And then the season is over. Crazy year with crazy weather”.
